I love the detail in the graphics and the colors. The printed graphics from the pdf work perfectly and look awesome. I did not have to adjust contrasts or lighting. These are especially useful for small stores. The Horoic Maps products really impress me.

Every game needs villages and hamlets. If you are looking at this, I recommend you pick up the village core set first, or at the same time as this. This geomorphic set can be used on it's own, but is much better when combined with the highways and village core geomorphs. Each tile is a spring/summer tile, with 4 distinct shops. Included is a tavern, a general store, a smithy, and an apothecary.

These geomorphs mesh well with the highways, village core and wilderness geomorphs. A highly recommended expansion for random village encounters, and when printed take up very little space if you are not using a virtual table top.

Overall, this is a good addition to your dungeon master toolkit, and one that I strongly recommend be combined with the highways and village core geomorphs to create larger villages.

This is a really beautiful set - the small previews really don't do it justice. Like others I would love to see some multiple story buildings in the future, but maps like this one really help to establish the setting better than generic environments. Hopefully Heroic Maps will consider more detailed sets like this one, or perhaps release maps with optional layers with furniture and other clutter.

Excellent highly detailed set, some very fine detail is in there. These work well with the general wilderness sets, which is great. The only thing I would say it is lacking are multiple storey buildings, but this is a great start

I use these mapsets for skirmish wargaming. I find that the versatility of the maps allows for countless set ups. I bought this pack to add scattered buildings on the map, instead of using some of the more densely populated town sets. This, combined with the Wilderness Locations will make excellent battlefields! That, and the publishers have been incredibly responsive. This map pack wasn't available as gridless when I bought this a few days ago, but a quick email to them and bam, the file was updated the very next day. I will continue buying these creations.

A beautiful and versatile mapset that should prove useful whenever the party wishes to interact with the inhabitants of the typical small village.

First are four 'overview' sheets - full page ones, no less - that give an idea of the overall scope of the stores presented, followed by larger sheets that can be combined to create a layout suitable for miniatures use. Full scale single sheet versions, for those who have access to facilities to print them entire or who are using virtual tabletop software, are also provided.

The stores are an apothecary, a blacksmith, a tavern and a general store - this last comes with a small cottage, complete with a garden, across the road.

The apothecary is a large single room building with workshelves around the walls, a bookcase and a table/counter where customers can be served. It would suit any store purveying small delicate items - magic items, potions, even jewellry - if preferred to someone dispensing healing herbs and remedies.

The blacksmith's shop includes an open forge complete with anvil as well as a room with a counter where weapons and other implements can be sold and further back rooms that could be used as storage or living space for the blacksmith.

The tavern is quite small, but well laid out. The main tap room has a bar and a fireplace, part of a double chimney that also serves a more cosy back room - suitable for those quiet chats. Behind the bar is a store room complete with barrels and even a kitchen area with its own fireplace and food preparation area.

Finally, the general store can be used pretty much as you like, with a large room complete with counter and steps down to a half-cellar storage area. The items on display suggest it's a food shop, but it could be repurposed quite easily.

The art is delightfully clear and crisp, and uniform in style with other mapsets from this publisher, making it easy to link several sets together seamlessly, which is also aided by the geomorphic design.
