fairly flexible and quite a bit of variety in the tiles. I am using it with the 5e princes of the apocalyse module and it translates very well, just a little bit of tweaking on the senario side to accomidate it. good color, prints well. no complaints.

What can I say? I just love Heroic Maps!

But here's what you need to know:

(1) Heroic maps were intended for use in games that make use of modular dungeon terrain... think mapsheet with miniature furniture, scenery, and figures. Therefore the maps almost never include any decorations. (This is an awesome way to play, by the way, and you can get papercraft furniture and scenery fairly cheaply if you dont have any yet).

(2) That being said, the lack of furniture means the designers could focus on the map itself, and that's exactly what they did. They are beautiful. These aren't some JPEG-with-a-grid maps (grids are optional by the way) that dont line up, leaving you guessing about whether your figures are balanced on the ledge of a roof or falling to a smashing death, or whether they are inside that room, outside in the hallway, or using their Pass Through Rock spell to become part of the wall.

(3) Most, if not all, of the Heroic Maps are totally modular - meaning you can link them together and make bigger and bigger maps. The modular dungeon tiles are handy when maps don't line up exactly.

My only complaint about the maps is how they are cut for printing. The maps come as PDFs that are ready to print, but they are somewhat inefficient. The biggest pages print a 5x10 block of map, so if you are using standard letter paper, you are wasting some space. And let's be honest, 110lb cardstock paper isn't cheap.

Overall, some of the best battlemaps I have ever seen.

After testing the waters watching DM Scotty, DMGinfo and the like... I finally have dove into the dungeon crafting hobby, and this kit has been my catalyst. The thing I love about this set, is that it is super easy to create amazing-looking dungeon tiles since all you really do is print and paste and cut. I am looking forward to purchasing more and create an ever expansive collection! Thank You!

The Modular Kit: Dungeon is a really nice product that can be utilized by those who prefer a 2D map or the 2.5D method developed by DM Scotty. The Kit includes a huge array of rooms and passages, allowing you to create an enormous variety of dungeons. Heroic Maps plans to release other products that supplement this, and I cannot wait to see them as well. I highly recommend this product. Heroic Maps is very customer friendly. I definitely urge you to pick up this product and others made by them. I definitely will.

I am very impressed with this product. Not only does your money buy you pdf's that are easy to print but you get the images to manipulate in your graphics program of choice. I scaled the images a bit larger to provide lots of room to scoot my 1 inch circular tokens around and then headed off to Office Max to print them out. Being poor I chose the cheap black and white option and they still look very good. You get a good variety of tiles and if you are handy with a graphics program you can tweak them to get exactly what you want.

Check out his video to see how one fellow makes cool almost 3d tiles from this set.

Anyway, again I was impressed and come payday Imma gonna get me some more Heroic Maps stuff!
